Work

Sometimes there are moments that occur in your life that are so grandiose and monumental that you cannot appreciate, comprehend, or absorb how huge those moments are until all of the movement ceases and you're left amongst the quiet aftermath.

This year, career-wise, has been non-stop and next level. I lay in my bed at night wiping away tears of gratitude from my eyes and wonder what I've done in my life to be able to experience these special moments. I am humbled, I am grateful, and I am tired – – both emotionally and physically.

In the first five months of 2016, I was fortunate to be able to collaborate with a legendary rock and roll band (The Who) to open up a new space (at work) for our teenage population to hangout during their treatments. As a girl who has always longed to work in the music industry, this was an incredible experience for me. It wasn't the Grammy red carpet, but I was able to emcee a large press conference -- which was good enough for me. Additionally, days after the launch of our new lounge, we were introduced to a wonderful man -- and now a friend, Brandon. Through his genius, we had a way to tell stories about pediatric cancer on a global platform and in turn, raise around 4 million dollars (in two weeks!).

This truly has been a special time -- and again, I'm overwhelmed by all of your wonderful words, comments, and support.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
